How much does Kazakhstan earn on oil and gas transit?

If to look at the current state of the gas market of Kazakhstan, one can see the country transports more foreign gas via its territory than extracts, consumes and exports. The situation is simpler with the oil transit. But both directions in future will grow due to the potential demand rise for energy resources from the part of China.

Though Kazakhstan is the 21st in the world by the gas reserves (1.3 trln cubic m of gas), its extraction is quite small though it shows a stable growth for the past 5 years: from 32.77 bln cubic m in 2008 to 42.3 bln cubic m in 2013. 90% of the extracted in Kazakhstan gas is APG.

The total gas supply volume to the domestic market of Kazakhstan in 2013 made up 12.863 bln cubic m. From 2006 this rate has been constantly growing – it was only 6.5 bln cubic m then. The export of the Kazakh gas in 2013 made up a bit less than 12 bln cubic m. This rate has also been rising from 2006 – it was only 7.8 bln cubic m.
