Baku is likely to choose Nabucco West

Caspian gas transporting attracts many EU states. The Balkan states are eager to participate in laying of pipelines from Azerbaijan via Turkey to Europe. Their representatives have arrived to Baku with the corresponding suggestions. In June, Azerbaijan should make the choice on the route for laying of the pipeline to the West.

In January – May, SOCAR exported over 8.392 million tons of profitable oil by BTC

In January – May, SOCAR exported over 8.392 million tons of profitable oil by BTC (Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan), by 341,000 tons less than within the corresponding period of the previous year. Exports were 1.429 million tons in January, 1.743 million tons in February, 1.411 million tons in March, 1.83 million tons in April, and 1.975 million tons in May.
The length of the pipeline are 1,768 km, including 443 km in Azerbaijan, 248 km in Georgia and 1,076 km in Turkey.

Over 6.9 million tons of Turkmen oil transported via BTC

In January-April of the current year, 1.043 million tons of Turkmen oil were transported via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceihan (BTC) pipeline, SOCAR reported to 1news.az.
In January, 196.147 thousand tons were pumped, in February – 301.703 thousand tons, in March – 276.523 thousand tons and in April – 269.618 thousand tons.

Georgia does not hold gas negotiations with Russia

Georgia may resume natural gas purchases from Russia, but the negotiations are not held at this stage, the Minister of Energy K.Kaladze asserted at a press-conference on Tuesday, “Novosti-Georgia” agency states.
According to the Minister, a new government of Georgia will make all efforts to escape a monopoly in energy sector and noted that “no negotiations are held at this stage”.

Georgia may resume gas supplies from Russia

The Georgian party may resume buying natural gas from Russia, the Georgian Minister of Energy Kakha Kaladze stated.
Today Azerbaijan is the main natural gas supplier to Georgia. Earlier Georgia received the main part of gas from Russia, but refused Russian gas after the events of August, 2008.
“The country shouldn’t depend on one supplier that is Azerbaijan,” – Kaladze announced on the air of the television company Imedi on May, 6.

Georgia is about to resume gas purchase from Russia

Georgia may resume gas purchases from Russia. The Minister of Energy of Georgia K.Kaladze said, Trend reports.
According to him Georgia is to provide a multi-vector nature of gas supply. Georgian experts say that Russian gas price is higher than the one from Azerbaijan, the TV channel reports.

Oil products import in Tajikistan decreases by 20%

In January of 2013, the oil products import in Tajikistan decreased by 20%. As the Customs Service affiliated to the Government reported on Friday, the rates of the oil products import made up more than 30.6 thousand tons to the amount of $36.1 million.
