In 2013, Turkmenistan plans to increase the export of liquefied gas

In 2013, Turkmenistan maps out to increase the export of liquefied gas, the agency Trend transmits, referring to the Ministry of the Oil and Gas Industry of the country.
“The powerful gas-processing plant, which works in Naipa and Bagadja (the east of the country), has successfully started the year. The production at the plant is round-the-clock, and the operating rate is increasing,” – the report says. Last year, the plant produced 144 thousand tons of liquefied gas and a lot of gas condensate, the RBK reports.

Turkmenistan has announced the date of launching the Galkynysh deposit

Turkmenistan plans in the summer 2013 to put into operation the largest in the country gas deposit Galkynysh. The Government of Turkmenistan announced at the oil and gas road show held in Dubai.

We hope this summer we will put into operation the 1st plant on the gas cleaning from sulphur at the Galkynysh, the President G. Berdymukhamedov said.

 

According to him, the innovations implemented into the oil and gas sector, the already existing and newly discovered large hydrocarbons resources, the high rates of the held works on the industrial development of the Galkynysh contribute to the stable rise of the country’s fuel and energy sector’s capacities. Production at the largest gas deposit in Turkmenistan to start in summer 2013

Gas production at “Galkynysh”, the largest deposit in Turkmenistan, may start in the summer of this year, is said in President G.Berdymukhamedov’s address, Turkmen television reports.
This address was meant for the participants of an International conference “Oil and gas of Turkmenistan-2013”, which will open at the International financial centre of Dubai on Wednesday.  The head of the country notes that “high rate of the operations on a commercial development of the gas deposit contributes to an increase of the capacities of the fuel-and-energy sector of the country.

For the first two months, export of Azerbaijani oil via BTC pipeline decreased by 14%

In January-February of the current year, the export of Azerbaijani oil via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceihan oil pipeline made up over 4.905 million tons that is by 14% less as compared to the first two months of 2012, SOCAR reported on Monday.

India proposes to start building the TAPI gas line from the Kazakh border

India proposes introduction of changes to the project of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline, i.e. to start building from Kazakhstan in order to increase the extension, Trend reports with reference to Indian press.

Kazakhstan threatens the possible redirecting of gas to China due to a disagreement about price with Russia

Kazakhstan can redirect gas from Karachaganak to China from 2015 in the case of the failure to reach an agreement about price with Russia, the Minister of Oil and Gas S. Mynbayev says. The state is not entirely satisfied with cooperation with the RF, but it does a lot now. For example, the whole southern Kazakhstan is provided by swap operations, using Karachaganak gas with Gazprom.

Oil products import in Tajikistan decreases by 20%

In January of 2013, the oil products import in Tajikistan decreased by 20%. As the Customs Service affiliated to the Government reported on Friday, the rates of the oil products import made up more than 30.6 thousand tons to the amount of $36.1 million.

In 2013, the Ukraine to want to resume direct gas purchases in Turkmenistan; it expects to receive 10 billion cubic meters

In the current year, the Ukraine expects to resume the direct gas purchase from Turkmenistan; the annual volume of supplies may make up to 10 billion cubic meters, the Ukrainian Minister of Energy Eduard Stavitsky reported at the press conference on Wednesday.

Pranab Mukherjee: TAPI demonstrates the intention of India to deepen its cooperation with Turkmenistan

The President of India, Pranab Mukherjee noted the mutual benefits of cooperation in TAPI gas line project (Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India) in his letter to Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov.
