Turkmenistan and the Ukraine discuss perspectives of bilateral cooperation

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Ukraine Viktor Yanukovich have discussed a number of the international policy’s issues of mutual interest during the phone conversation, the Turkmen Government reports on Tuesday.
According to the report, the phone conversation took place on initiative of the Ukrainian party.
During the conversation, the Ukrainian President invited the Turkmen leader to visit the Ukraine at his convenience.

Alchevsk metal works has lost 217.2 million grivnas

In Q1, Alchevsk metal works lost 217.2 million grivnas by ISA. Net profit increased by 1.64% to 3.677623 billion grivnas. In 2012, the enterprise lost 1.027753 billion grivnas, and gained net profit of 14.438835 billion grivnas.
The combine specializes in production of thick and thin steel plates and sort rolled steel and slabs. ISD holds 96.1% in the enterprise.

In June, West-Siberian MC will cease steel plates production

In June, West-Siberian MC (Evraz ZSMC) will cease the plate rolling shop for steel plates production. One of the reasons is the launch of new mills in European Russia and underloading of the rolling capacities of ZSMC. Earlier the number of thick plates producers was low and the sheet rolling mill of ZSMC was entirely loaded, by approximately 0.5 million tons annually. Recently they were launched in European Russia 2 new sheet rolling mills, they are underloaded now, and it operates in the Ukraine a mill with yield outstripping the demand by 1.5 times.

Gazprom and the Ukraine discussed gas injection into UGSF

On April 22 A.Miller and the vice-president of the Ukraine Y.Boiko discussed a number of questions, concerning cooperation in gas sector, inclusive of an organization of gas injection into the Underground gas storage facility (UGSF) of the Ukraine in spring-summer period.
The citizens gave V.Yanukovich a lot of trouble during the TV project Dialogue with the country. They wondered about an efficiency of the working meetings of A.Miller and Y.Boiko in Gazprom, where the parties discuss questions of mutual interest.

In February, German gas for the Ukraine was 8% cheaper than Russian gas

In February of 2013, the Ukraine imported gas from Germany for $390 per 1 thousand cubic meters that is  8.5% or by $36.19 per 1 thousand cubic meters less than the price of gas, delivered from Russia - $426.19 per 1 thousand cubic meters, the Ukrainian State Statistics Service reports.

Metinvest increases its base credit line to $560 million

The international vertically integrated mining and metallurgic group of companies Metinvest, which belongs to the Ukrainian businessman Rinat Akhmetov and Russian businessman Vadim Novinsky, has increased 3-year credit line to $560 million, the SKM’s press center reported to the IA REGNUM’s correspondent on April, 22.

The Russian authorities are worried with the Ukrainian quotas for Russian coal

The Russian coking coal industry is going to face an unfavorable period due to intent of the Ukraine to introduce quotas for the raw material imports for steel production, the Vice Minister of Energy of Russia A. Yanovsky says.
The Ukraine is going to introduce a quota for coking coal used in steel production at a rate of 10.2 million tons and to impose full moratorium for coke and semi-coke imports that is dangerous for Russia by the loss of the most perspective markets.

Rinat Akhmetov buys out Ukrainian subsoil in order not to be dependent on Russia

A new top-manager has finally appeared in Neftegazdobycha, the Ukrainian largest gas productive company. The former Chairman of the Board O. Seminsky was gone since February 2012. The new manager is I. Tschurov from DTEK energy giant belonging to the richest Ukrainian tycoon R. Akhmetov. Mr. Akhmetov got control over the company after the conflict of its shareholders, the deputies of the State Parliament N. Shufrich and N. Rudkovsky. Finally, they sold to Mr. Akhmetov their shares in the company, and he got control over 50%. Mr.

The Government of the Ukraine and Lukoil have signed the memorandum about restoration of the work Karpatneftechem

The Cabinet of Minister of the Ukraine and the Ukrainian enterprises of the Lukoil Lukor CJSC and Karpatneftechem LLC have signed the memorandum about mutual understanding. The document was signed by the Vice Premier Y. Boiko and the representative of the president of Lukoil in the Ukraine S. Chmikhalov. Yesterday they signed the memorandum about restoration of the work of Karpatneftechem. The Government bound itself to provide the enterprise with support and the owners bound themselves to launch it within 3 months.
