CNPC plans to start the oil deposit’s operation in Uzbekistan in 2014

CNPC plans in 2014 to start the experimental-industrial production of the Mingbulak oil deposit in the Namangan region of Uzbekistan.
The company announced a tender for drilling works, in the process of the geological exploration at the license site the perspective for development fields were discovered, until the end of 2014 the development and experimental-industrial operation might start, the source said. The results of the geological exploration are not released.

Uzbek AGMK to build a mine at Kairagach by 2015

OJSC “Almalyksky GMK” (AGMK) is about to complete a construction of an underground mine on a production of up to 80 thousand tons of ore a year at a gold field Kairagach (Tashkent region) in late 2014. The investments are assessed at $30.6 million. A spokesman for the management of the company said.

Lukoil to invest $679 million into projects in Uzbekistan

In 2013, the largest Russian private oil company Lukoil plans to invest $678.5 million into the implementation of two projects in Uzbekistan on terms of the production sharing agreement.
On the whole, the value of two projects makes up $4.3 billion, the Russian Ministry of Energy reports.

Uzbekistan increased fuel pumping by route pipelines by 10% in 2012

In 2012 Uzbekistan increased fuel pumping by the route pipelines by 10% against 2011 to 65.9 mln tons.
The cargo turnover of the route pipelines in 2012 rose 13.4% to 34.1 bln ton-km.
The cargo shipment by the railway transport rose 4.8% to 62 mln tons, the volume of cargo turnover to 22.8 bln ton-km (+1.6%).

South Korean Posco interested in coal projects in Uzbekistan

The South Korean Posco is interested in the realization of coal projects in Uzbekistan, a source close to the company reported on Monday.

The source specified, on September 19-21 Uzbek President, Islam Karimov visited South Korea and discussed the possible joint projects with President of Posco, Chung Joon Yang.

“The corporation is interested in joint development of coal deposits as well as in the projects aimed at development of road infrastructure”, the source said. Read more »

Korean companies start the construction of gas chemical facility at the cost of $4.16 billion in Uzbekistan

Korean Samsung Engineering, GS Engineering and Hyundai Engineering have started the active stage of the technological part construction of the Ustyurt gas chemical facility in the North-West of Uzbekistan, a representative of the Cabinet’s Fuel & Energy Sector reported to  RIA Novosti on Thursday.

“The construction of the technological part has been started, the equipment mounting is in  process; the Uzbek party builds the infrastructure, the operations are carried out in accordance with the approved schedule,” – the Government’s representative specified.

Korean companies have started the construction of a gas chemicals complex in Uzbekistan

Samsung Engineering, GS Engineering and Hyundai Engineering (Korea) have started the active stage of the construction of the technological part of the Ustyurt gas chemicals complex in the North-West of Uzbekistan.
The construction of the technological part has started, the assembly of the equipment is held, the Uzbek party is constructing the infrastructure, the works are held in conformity with the approved schedule. Read more »

Uzbekugol and Gas agency of India to plan to realize the projects of $40 million

In 2012-2014, Uzbekugol, the largest producer of solid fuel in Uzbekistan, and the State gas agency of India (The Indian Gas Agency) map out to realize their joint ventures in the sphere of the coal industry, a representative of Uzbekugol reported to the Agency Prime on Tuesday.

The representative of the Uzbek company noted that Uzbekugol and the State gas agency of India have signed a memorandum on cooperation, providing for the participation of Uzbekugol in the realization of projects of coal production in India. Read more »

Lukoil Overseas has produced first gas at the largest deposit in Uzbekistan and purchased additional stake in PSA by Uzbek part of Aral Sea

Lukoil Overseas in the framework of the PSA realization on the development of the gas reserves of the South-Western Gissar (the Kashkadariinsky region) has produced the first gas at the largest block of the deposit – the Dzharkuduk – Yangi Kyzylcha in Uzbekistan, the company’s press service reports.
Before the gas output at the South-Western Gissar the company had produced oil at the South Kyzylbairak and Koshkuduk deposits (by the preliminary data, in 2011 the production is to be 90 thousand tons). Read more »

Uzbekneftegas in 2012-2020 to spend $235 mln for oil production rise

The National Holding company Uzbekneftegas plans in 2012-2020 to spend $235 mln for an increase in oil production in the long term being developed deposits in the republic, the department of the Fuel and Energy Sector of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan said on Friday.
A representative of the Government said that by 2021 the holding will realize the program on the deep drilling of about 100 objects with the participation of foreign companies that will share their experience of the application of modern technologies on the raising oil recovery rates of the layers at the deposits with difficult to extract reserves.
It is planned to implement such technologies as a method of underbalanced drilling, raising the oil recovery by means of seismic impact, radial drilling.
According to the representative of the Government, by 2021 the holding plans to annually extract up to the additional 300 thousand tons of oil due to the geological-technical measures directed for the pay back of losses of oil production. Read more »
