VTB finances the construction of the Tekhutskoye copper-molybdenum combine in Armenia

Vallex Group implements one of the largest economic projects in Armenia – the construction and operation of the Tekhutskoye Copper Molybdenum Combine in the Loriysk region with the financial support from VTB bank. The bank invested $283 million. The project is valued at about $350 million.
President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, vice-premier, minister of international economic integration and reforms of Armenia V.Gabrielyan, governor of the Loriysk region A.Nalbandyan, CEO of CJSC “Bank VTB (Armenia)” Y.Gusev and the ambassadors of foreign countries in Armenia took part at the opening ceremony of the combine on December 20th.

The Akhtalinsk GOK to increase copper concentrate production to 1.600 tons in 2015.

The Akhtalinsk mining and processing plant planned to increase the production of copper concentrate to 1.600 tons in 2015, Vazgen Vardanyan, the Head of the Department of Mineralogy, stated during the discussions on areas of mining and metallurgy with Karen Chshmaritian, the Minister of Economy of Armenia.
"If in 2013 the number of employees was 650 people, now it is 750-800. In 2013 we produced 1000-1100 tons of copper concentrate, this year's production will be 1.200 tons, and according to the development plan we will increase the production up to 1400-1600 million in 2015", - Vardanyan stated.

The Federation Council has ratified duty-free oil and gas supplies to Armenia

The Federation Council has ratified the intergovernmental agreement with Armenia in the sphere of supplies of gas, oil products and unprocessed natural diamonds to the state. The agreement presupposes duty-free supplies of the goods until Armenia unites with the Eurasian integration space. Under the agreement, the Russian side does not charge import customs duties from oil products and gas at a volume of the internal consumption admitted in the indicative balance and for diamonds supplied to Armenia.

Russia abandons duties for diamonds supplies to Armenia

Russia has demonstrated the opportunity of the friendly approach to the states that agree to participate in the integration unity it founds. Whereas Armenia has not signed the road map for joining to the Customs Union as yet, it has been granted discount for the most sensitive positions of the Russian exports: gas, oil products and diamonds.
