Listvyazhnaya mine puts into operation a new face with the industrial reserves of 1.7 million tons of coal

 
The modern automated complex will provide for a high level of productivity and safety of the mining works.
The mining is conducted by the brigade of Igor Ivanov.
In 2013 the miners of Listvyazhnaya are going to bring to grass 4.3 million tons of coal – by 886 thousand tons more than in 2012. In prospect the mining can increase to 10 million tons.

Kazakhstan reduced coal production in Jan-September by 2.6% to 83.7 million tons

There was produced 83.652 million tons of coal, inclusive of coal concentrate in Kazakhstan in January-September 2013. It is by 2.6% less than during the same period in 2012, the State Statistics Agency reported.

Raspadskaya increased coal production by 18%

In Q3, Raspadskaya increased coal production by 18% to 2 million tons. In January – September, coal concentrate sales increased by 37% to over 4 million tons.
The inner-group supplies to Evraz enterprises in Russia and the Ukraine shared 1/4 in total coal sales of the company. Within the period, exports shared 40% in the total sales, that distributed to 70% to the APO region and 30% to the Ukraine.

EVRAZ to sell coal mine Gramoteinskaya for 10 thousand rubles

EVRAZ plc has signed a contract on the sale of the mine Gramoteinskaya, which is a part of Yuzhkuzbassugol, to the company Lehram Capital Investments Ltd. The mine specialized in production of forge coal. The deal amount made up 10 000 rubles in cash, taking into account absence of debt obligations. The contract is legally binding.

Coal production in Kuzbass made up 150.1 mln tons in Jan-September 2013, +0.8% against 2012

In September 2013 the miners of Kuzbass produced 16.9 million tons of coal. It is by 0.6 million tons of coal or 3.7% more against August 2013 (16.3 million tons) and by 1.6 million tons of coal or 8.7% less compared to September 2012 (18.5 mln tons).
Coking coal production made up 4.4 million tons in September. It is equal to the same period last year.

Mine Erunakovskaya-VIII produces the first million tons of coal

The first million ton of coal was produced at the mine Erunakovskaya-VIII of the company Yuzhkuzbassugol (a part of Evraz) from February of 2013, and about 8 km of mine opening were passed.
Coke coal of the valuable grade GZh was mined from complex-mechanized longwall №48-2. The daily production at the mine is 5.7 thousand tons of coal.
According to the Director of the mine Erunakovskaya-VIII, Sergei Frank, the production at the mine is carried out according plan of investment project. It managed to produce the first million in such a short period of time due to long-term launch of the enterprise and well coordinated work of the staff.
Let’s recall, Evraz began the implementation of the investment project on the mine Erunakovskaya-VIII construction in 2011. The mine was launched in February of 2013.

Russia reduced ferrous metals export by 9% in Jan-August 2013

Russian companies reduced ferrous metals export by 8.8% to 24.03 million tons in January-August 2013 against the same period in 2012.  Russia increased steel pipes import from the non-CIS countries 1.8 fold to 311.7 thousand tons. Federal Customs Service stated about it.
Ferrous metal export reduction is due to refocusing of key producers to the domestic market, the participants of the market say.
The export of ferrous metals is down by 16% to $13.103 billion in January-August 2013 in monetary terms. The supplies to the non-CIS countries are down by 12.5% to 20.2 million tons at total $10.5 billion, but they are up by 17.1% to 3.83 million tons ($2.6 billion) to the CIS countries.

Vostsibugol will dispatch 3 million tons of coal to the Asian consumers

Vostsibugol, a member of En + Group has closed the long-term contracts for coal supplies with the South Korean Posco, China Coal and the Chinese Carbine Railways. The total volume of supplies will be  3 million tons of coal, and the oriented period of supplies will be 3-5 years. Vostsibugol will dispatch to the Asian consumers coking and energy coal from the Tuva and the Irkutsk region deposits.

The concentrating plant of the mine in h. of Kirov was launched in Leninsk-Kuznetsky

The Governor of the Kemerovo region, A. Tuleyev states that the concentrating plant of the mine in h. of Kirov is one of the oldest in the region; it has operated since 1954. Its annual capacity is 3.2 million tons of coal a year, that’s not large. That’s not enough for the current production of SUEK because only the mine in h. of Kirov annually produces 4 million tons of coal, and coal from other mines of the company should be concentrated as well. They decided to perform the complete reconstruction of the plant and to build a new technological complex at the same site with the old corpuses. The total investment into the construction and arrangement of the new section is 3.2 billion rubles.

Coal production at the enterprises of OJSC “Yuzhny Kuzbass” is up by 8.8% in Jan-September 2013

Coal production at the enterprises of OJSC “Yuzhny Kuzbass”, an affiliate of OJSC “Mechel-Mining” is up by 8.8% in Jan-September 2013 against the same period last year. It made up 11 million tons.
The miners of OJSC “Yuzhny Kuzbass” produced 11 million 23 thousand tons of coal in January-September 2013. It is by 896 thousand tons or 8.8% more than during the same period last year (10 mln. 127 thousand tons). There was also produced 4 894 thousand tons of coking coal (+20% against last year (4 073 thousand tons)).
