BP-TNK to transfer 8 billion rubles to environmental protection measures in Yugra

BP-TNK has coordinated environmental program for the next 2 years with the Government of the Khanty-Mansiisk autonomous district-Yugra, the Chief Financial Director Jonathan Muir announced at the conference, dedicated to the main industrial results of the company in 2012.
The Chief Financial Director specified that in 2013-2014 target costs for the environmental protection measures will make up 8 billion rubles. The funds will be mainly invested into rehabilitation of oil contaminated soil in the Khanty-Mansiisk autonomous district, associated gas utilization and provision of pipeline integrity. “This is a complex of rehabilitative measures, which we coordinated with the region’s Government,” - Jonathan Muir explained.
