Gazprom: Construction of Power of Siberia follows the plan
In May 2014 Gazprom and CNPC signed a 30-year contract for natural gas supply by the eastern route via the offsets from Power of Siberia.
The construction of the Power of Siberia gas pipeline follows the plan, the head of the department for coordination of eastern projects of Gazprom, V. Timoshilov, said.
He said that the company doesn’t postpone the construction of the gas pipeline.
The parties assessed the contract at $400 bln. The supplies might start in 2018 at the volume of 5 bln cubic m and later will reach 38 bln cubic m a year. The raw materials base will be the Chayanda and Kovykta deposits.
In February 2015 Gazprom and CNPC agreed on the place of the underwater pass way via the Amur river of a site of Power of Siberia. Gazprom has already held a number of tenders on the purchase of pipes for the total amount of 67.7 bln roubles.
