But the country also requests new gas discounts.

Greece, being in conflict with the European Commission and the IMF and interested in a tactical alliance with Russia, is seeking a new discount on gas from "Gazprom". This issue was raised at the talks in Moscow by the head of the Ministry of Energy of Greece Panagiotis Lafazanisa, who discussed the possibility of joining the "Turkish stream". Athens also offers Russian companies participation in tenders for oil and gas exploration on the shelf of the Ionian Sea. According to analysts, Russian players will unlikely be interested in the current environment.
