BP and CNPC to start producing shale gas in China

On March 31, 2016, BP and CNPC signed an agreement on exploration, development and production of shale gas in the Sichuan oil and gas basin in China. This became known on March 31, 2016. 

It is expected that the companies will collaborate in the development and production of shale gas at the Neijiang-Dazu block, which is located in the Sichuan Basin. The project operator is CNPC.
