Gazprom: External contractor not to be attracted to the construction of “Power of Siberia”

The gasification of the Amur region will be effected due to the “Power of Siberia”. The gas transport system will be constructed in the Far East to supply gas to China. The first joint of the “Power of Siberia” will be welded in August and the direct gas supplies to China will start in 2019.

Hundreds of journalists came to Moscow to the press conference at the head office of Gazprom from almost all regions of Russia and overseas. The most important issue was the contract with China for the supply of the Russia gas.

“The Chinese contract became the largest one in the history of the gas sector. The total volume of gas supply will exceed the total annual consumption of such countries as Russia, USA and China. The annual consumption of 3 countries equals to the volume that will be shipped over 30 years to China”, the chairman of the Board of Gazprom OJSC, V. Zubkov said.
