Gazprom actively works on organization of gas supplies to China on “eastern” route

On Sautrday, August 30th, Gazprom’s head Alexei Miller held a working meeting with the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Chinese State Council, Wen Zhang Gaoli, the main topic of which was the pace of works on the construction of the Power of Siberia gas transportation system that, including, will provide gas supplies to China on the “eastern” route, the Russian gas giant reports.

In addition, the parties discussed the prospects of the organization of Russian gas supplies to China on the "western" route.

According to the company, on the eve, Mr. Miller held a meeting on the implementation of a comprehensive plan of action for the implementation of the investment projects of the company, needed to supply gas to China via the "eastern" route. The meeting’s participants noted that Gazprom was actively preparing for the development of the Chayandinskoye field, construction of the Power of Siberia gas transmission system and Amur gas processing plant.
