Ministry of Energy has suggested realizing Kuyumba-Tayshet project in 2 stages

The Ministry of Energy suggests correcting the period of completion of construction of the Kuyumba-Tayshet oil pipeline due to the insufficient resource base for its loading.

A source in one of the Agencies said that the Ministry of Energy had prepared and sent for approval the respective draft Government order.

At the first stage it is planned to project and construct the pipeline with the throughput capacity of up to 8.6 mln tons of oil a year with the completion in Q4 2016. The second stage presupposes the construction of the pipe with the capacity of up to 15 mln tons a year with the completion in late 2023.

In case of exceeding the oil transportation volume over the throughput capacity of the oil pipeline, in 2022-2023 it is planned to use anti-turbulence additives.
