Transneft asked for unlimited rights for operation of oil pipelines

Transneft has addressed the Government asking to improve the normative legal basis regulating the rights in the sphere of pipeline transport, a source in one of the core agencies said.

The company suggested developing the project of a respective federal law which would grant unlimited rights for the operation and repair of the objects of pipeline transport, including not respecting the rights of the third parties, to the operating route oil and oil products pipelines companies.

Transneft suggested introducing a legal regime of the protected areas and a mechanism of loss of coverage to the holders of rights for subsoil sites.
