Yamal LNG transfers rights for the construction of 5 LNG-tankers

In August 2015 “Yamal LNG” transferred rights for the construction of ice class LNG-tankers, formerly ordered from the South-Korean DSME, according to the company’s semi-annual report under GAAP.
“The Group has carried out an assignment of the agreement, concluded in 2014 with Daewoo Shipbuildings & Marine Engineering (DSME) for the construction of LNG-tankers of ice class ARC 7. At the same time, the Group signed long-term chartering contracts of these tankers and the tankers of ice class ARC 4 upon time-charter terms. Under the terms, minimal payments will totally make up the undiscounted sum of $6.6 billion,” company states.
