The safety and health of the people must be in the first priority while developing Kashagan

The safety and health of the people must be in the first priority while developing Kashagan, the Kazakh vice-Minister for Nature Conservation, Bektas Mukhamedzhanov claimed.

Commenting on the recent emergency at Bolashak plant where gas leaked from one of the pipelines – for the second time this month, he said, “Speaking about nature conservation, not economic interests or profits of the enterprises must be put in the first priority, but public health. We must do our best to provide for the safety and health of our people... The demands must be the same for everyone”.
