Expert: Expansion of sanctions on Russia might concern “Power of Siberia”

According to the head of the consulting group Creon Energy, F. Kilzie, the expansion of a list of anti-Russian sanctions of the West might become a reason of freezing the construction of the Power of Siberia gas transport route.

He thinks that the EU is unlikely to stop pressurizing Russia by its sanctions. On the contrary, one may expect a new stage of the sanctions war which might concern the largest project – Power of Siberia.

The EU and USA have already significantly restricted the export of equipment to Russia which is necessary for the oil and gas sector. In the case if the EU experts decide, they will find a way to expand the sanctions.
