Mechel not to sell Chelyabinsk assets – Zyuzin doesn’t want to do this

Currently, Mechel doesn’t consider sale of Chelyabinsk metallurgical plant, the URA.Ru reports.

"The company has invested substantial funds in this asset; $1 billion were spent only for the reconstruction of a rolling mill. In addition, the withdrawal of ChMK from group will have a serious impact on whole Mechel, - the Mechel’s press centre stated to the Kommersant. - Therefore, the option of selling will be considered as a last resort and in the case of a very attractive offer".
