Rosneft not to reduce a single project on oil and gas extraction in the Far East- Ishaev

​Rosneft hasn’t reduced any project in the Far East and keeps developing geological exploration there, the press service of the Governor of the Sakhalin region reported.

In the current economic situation exploration and extraction of oil and gas become quite expensive but nevertheless the company hasn’t reduced any project in the Far East and plans to develop geological exploration, Mr. Ishaev said.

The volumes of oil extraction and prices for petrol were discussed at the meeting of the Governor of the Sakhalin region, O. Kozhemyako, and Vice-President of Rosneft, V. Ishaev.

Rosneft is our strategic partner and one of the main tax payers. The perspectives of development of our cooperation are very important.

The plans of construction of a small oil refinery plant in the Okhinsky district were discussed. Its productivity is planned to make up 200 thousand tons a year. It will create new work places.
