The pipe producers confirm that they are preparing to raise prices, but refer to a sharp jump in the cost of metallurgical raw materials. The government has repeatedly discussed the problem of increased cost of steel products, but has not yet to find a solution: it is either necessary to convince suppliers to change the position and voluntarily reduce their margins, or immediately introduce the prohibitive export duties.

On Friday the RF Minister of Energy, Alexander Novak held a meeting with the leadership of the largest oil and gas companies on the development of the industry in 2015. According to the sources of "the Kommersant", familiar with the outcome of the meeting, the decisions were made, but the oil companies complained about the increase in tariffs, particularly on the rise in pipe prices. According to the sources of "the Kommersant", the prices began to rise in Q4 2014, and it is expected that the growth will continue this year. Some companies recognized at the meeting that there may postpone the implementation of some projects due to the capex growth.
