JV of Gazprom Neft and Shell exceeded production plan by 4% in 2014

“Salym Petroleum Development” (the JV of Shell and Gazprom Neft OJSC) according to preliminarily information executed the annual production plan and by the end of 2014 exceeded the planned rate by 4%. The total volume of the annual production at the Salym group of oil deposits made up 6.55 mln tons or 47.1 mln barrels, the company reports.

Moreover, in December, Salym Petroleum Development drilled the deepest well at the Salym group of deposits with the depth of 4.288 thousand m. The company applied the system of directional drilling at the final stage of the construction of a well bore to ease further operations on drilling and development, RIA Novosti reports.

In 2014 the company realized the geological-technical measures at 285 wells (255 was planned), including the putting into operation of new wells, layer hydrofracking, perforation and optimization measures. By the present time the total oil volume extracted at the Salym group of deposits from the beginning of realization of the Salym project in 2003 has exceeded 58 mln tons.
