2016 may become the last year of falling oil production in Yamal

This year may be the last year of the falling oil production in the Yamal-Nenets atonomous district. It is reported by the press centre of the regional head.

"According to forecasts, 2016 could be the last year of the falling oil production in the Yamal region," – the statement says. Vice-Governor of the district Dmitry Kobylkin notes that current oil reserves in the Yamal-Nenets autonomous district today are estimated at 4.9 billion tons. "Industrial development of Yamal's largest fields, such as the East-Messoyakhskoye, West-Messoyakhskoye, Russkoye, Urengoyskoye with total recoverable reserves of approximately 1.5 billion tons will allow us to increase the production in the region more than two times to 44 million tons by 2020," - he says.
