APG is not burnt any more with no purpose in Yamal

​Today a meeting was held in Tyumen dedicated to the cooperation of the Governments of the Tyumen region, Yamal and Yugra with Gazprom and oil companies upon the rational use of APG. It was said that the volume of APG burning has fallen by almost 2.5 times within the past 6 years. Nevertheless, the level of rational use of APG of 9.5% has been reached only in the Yamal Nenets Autonomous Area, deputy Plenipotentiary to the President of Russia in the Ural Federal District, A. Kaliberda, said.

The deputy Governor of the Yamal Nenets Autonomous Area, A. Sitnikov, said that “Gazprom dobycha Urengoi” has been utilizing almost 100% of APG for a few years already. The larger part of it is shipped to the gas processing plant. The produced as a result of processing gas goes to the gas transport system of Gazprom and a wide fraction of light hydrocarbons is directed to the oil chemicals complex, he said.
