"Novatek" encroaches on the monopoly of "Gazprom" again.

The company requests permission to export gas to Europe via the trader of the monopoly - "Gazprom export".

"Novatek", as "Gazprom", performed social obligations, fully supplying population and housing and communal services of the two regions - the Kostroma and Chelyabinsk areas with gas, and therefore had the right on the income from exports of raw materials, the co-owner and CEO Leonid Michelson stated two years ago. It was not necessary to destroy the export monopoly of "Gazprom", he pointed out. It was enough to buy gas from independent producers at a price equally profitable with the export proportion of the domestic market, Michelson added.
