In Q1, Zaporozhstal increased steel smelting by 5.8%

In Q1, Zaporozhstal increased production of  steel by 5.8% to 954,000 tons, cast iron by 1.7% to 805,000 tons and rolled steel by 8.5% to 808,000 tons. In March, the speed of growth in steel production declined to 0.7%. In March, it made 277,900 tons of cast iron (-1.8%), 328,700 tons of steel (+0.7%) and 278,800 tons of rolled steel (+4.7%). Decline in cast iron production in March is presupposed by execution of the planned repairs in the furnace shop of the combine.
