Exxon Mobil files a legal claim against Russia

American Exxon Mobil appealed to the Stockholm Arbitration court and required to amend the agreement on “Sakhalin-1” in terms of taxation.

Exxon Mobil informed about it the Russian Ministry of Energy. American company insists upon the reduction of income tax from 35 to 20% and return of $500 million, which, according to the company, it overpaid because of high rate of tax.
