The Ukraine purchased 2.7 bln cubic m of Russian gas within “winter package”

​The Ukraine purchased 2.675 bln cubic m of gas from Russian within the period of validity of the winter package, head of press service of Ukrtransgas, M. Belyavsky, said.

Rom December 9th, 518.2 mln cubic m of the Russian gas was shipped to the Ukraine, in Jan – 924.6 mln, in February -927.9 mln, in March – 304.4 mln.

The information of Ukrtransgas published on its website differs from the final rates. According to the operative statistics, the Ukraine received 2.642 bln cubic m of gas in December –March from Russia.

The “winter package” of the Russian gas supplies to the Ukraine became an exclusion in the relationships of Gazprom and Naftogas. It was necessary to renew gas supplies from Russia to the Ukraine and to provide a reliable transit of the Russian gas to Europe via the Ukraine in the winter when gas consumption reaches it maximum.
