China has started to construct the continuation of Power of Siberia. It is planned to weld the first joint in late June, Gazprom reports.
Gazprom says that the works at the Russian site of the pipeline by the eastern route of gas supply to China are held according to the schedule.
Gazprom has confirmed its plans to start the supplies by the Power of Siberia in 2018.
On June 2nd the meeting of Gazprom’s head, A. Miller, with the first deputy Prime Minister of China, Ch. Gaoli, and chairman of the Board of Directors of CNPC, V. Ilin, took place.
The participants discussed the process of negotiations on gas supply to China by the western route and the schedule of further events by the preparation for the signing of the contract.
