Gazprom has turned away from pipeline gas supply to Japan

​Gazprom’s head, A. Miller, said that the company doesn’t plan to export gas to Japan by the Far Eastern pipeline.

Mr. Miller said that the main consumer of pipeline gas from the Far East is China. He said that meanwhile Gazprom doesn’t consider the suggestion of Tokyo Gas (Japan) on the expansion of the Russian pipeline to Japan.

Mr. Miller said that the Asian market is growing, its attractiveness for suppliers rises. Previously Pronedra wrote that Japan might reduce the volumes of the purchased LNG from Russia.
