Gazprom plans to increase capacity of underground gas storages in Russia by heating season of 2016-2017

Gazprom has planned to increase the capacity of underground gas storage facilities in Russia for the autumn-winter period of 2016-2017 to a record level in the history of the Russian gas industry. This was announced  by Gazprom on June 1, 2016.

The maximum potential daily capacity of the storages on the territory of Russia by the beginning of the heating season of 2015-2016 was increased by 2.5% compared with the previous season to 789.9 million cubic meters. Over the past 5 years, this figure grew by 22%.
