SOCAR increases oil export, in May shipped almost 1.8 mln tons

​The Marketing and Economic Operation Management of SOCAR announced that oil export  in May grew by 24.2% against April.

In May 1,799.471 thousand tons of oil were exported against 1,449.150 thousand tons in April and 1,900.428 thousand tons in March 2016.

In April the export by the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline made up 79.96 thousand tons against 159.599 thousand tons in April, by Baku-Supsa – 264.748 thousand tons against 16.598 thousand tons, by BTC – 1,454.760 thousand tons against 1,112.953 thousand tons.

In January –May 2016 oil export by the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline made up 319.499 thousand tons, Baku-Supsa-1,040.947 thousand tons, BTC -7,196.455 thousand tons. In February the export of crude oil from Azerbaijan from the Black Sea port of SOCAR in Georgia Kulevi made up 14.946 thousand tons, in March-May crude oil transshipment via it was not held.

In total in January-May 2016, 8,574.84 thousand tons of oil were exported from Azerbaijan.
