In H1 2014, the Central Asian republics reduced gas supplies to Gazprom by 13.3% to 13.105 billion cubic m, the Central Dispatch Department of the Fuel and Energy Sector reports. In June, supplies reduced by 10.7% to 2.565 billion cubic m.

By the end of the year, Gazprom hopes to have all the necessary opportunities for the substitution of Central Asian gas. Now Gazprom performs carry's out a large investment into the Stavropol region for the creation of the capacities enabling it to fully remove the risks connected with gas supplies from Central Asia in winter, regularly faced by the company.
