Norilsk Nickel expects the State Depository for Precious Metals to sell not more than 3 tons of palladium in 2013

GMK “Norilsk Nickel” expects that the State Depository for Precious Metals may supply not more than 100 thousand ounces (3 tons) of palladium to the world market in 2013, the director for marketing A.Berlin said during the telephone conference.

“Norilsk Nickel” notes that the palladium price on market does not reflect a deficit of this metal, which is significant. Low prices on platinum-group metals are because of an influence of financial institutes on price formation. Commercial consumption and production of metals is a secondary factor in regard to a financial market.
