The head of E.On is confident of the Russian gas supply to Germany

Russia will not stop gas supplies to Germany, said the head of the German energy concern E.ON, Johannes Teyssen in Dusseldorf.

The President of the Russian Federation, V.Putin has no interest in the suspension of gas supply to Germany and Europe, says Teyssen. He states that the Russian Federation depends more on Europe than Europe on Russia. The redirecting of oil and gas supplies to other regions is not so easy task, Deutsche Welle reports.

“None of the parties is interested in making gas part of the conflict,” Teyssen said. According to him, the most important question is how to settle the Ukrainian conflict. But the politicians have to take responsibility for this. According to the head of the German energy concern, the sanctions, imposed by the West against Russia, had almost no impact on E.On. The company is a long-standing partner of Gazprom and the cooperation looks well, Teyssen said.
