Novak: Russia objects to set gas price depending on season

Russia doesn’t agree with the Ukraine's proposal to differentiate prices for Russian gas, depending on the season; previously the Ukrainian side proposed to acquire gas at the price of $320 per 1 thousand cubic meters in summer and at the price of $380 per 1 thousand cubic meters in winter, the Energy Minister, Alexander Novak reported.

"The price that sounded is $320-380, depending on the season, I think we shouldn’t talk about it, the contract is built in the way that we can’t set two prices," - said Novak, answered for the question of how he estimated the proposal of the Ukrainian side on the price of Russian gas.

"One price should be, as it is stipulated in all contracts, and it is necessary to negotiate on it," - the Minister added.
