Transneft is ordered to increase the sulfur in oil for refineries

The Vice Premier A. Dvorkovich responsible for the fuel and energy sector in the Government has ordered to Transneft and the related departments to think over re-distribution of oil flows that would enable to improve quality of the fuel supplied to the Russian oil refineries.
The order was made as an answer to the letter of the chief of Lukoil, V. Alekperov anxious that the sulfur content increased in oil meant for refining.
Transneft reports that now 22% of high-sulfurous oil extracted mostly in Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, the Orenburg region and Udmurtia is refined separately. High content of this oil raises sulfur content in the mixture transported via the Russian oil pipelines consisting of oil supplied by over 200 production companies.
