Rosneft's deal with Total will enable the Russian company to require the allocation of new quotas for the additional pumping of oil to Germany and the Czech Republic through transit countries, including through the Ukraine.
On August 27 German antitrust authorities gave "Rosneft" the go-ahead for the purchase of a 16.7% stake in the oil refining company RSC Raffinerie GmbH in Schwedt (Germany) from the French corporation Total.
