Gazprom Neft –Noyabrskneftegas has put into operation a well with the output of 200 tons a day

At the well pad 221 of the Novogodny deposit of Gazprom Neft –Noyabrskneftegas a horizontal well #2840 with the output of 200 tons of oil a day was put into operation. Its depth is 4,433 m, including the depth of the horizontal part – 1,000 m. the well pad is located between 2 oil layers put on balance by high results of tests of the previously constructed exploratory wells.

Geologists forecast that the start-up output of the well #2840 is to make up about 50 tons of oil a day. Thus after the launch, the daily extraction at the well turned out to be by 4 times higher than expected. It is planned to drill another 2 horizontal wells at the well pad soon.

The detailed study of the horizontal structure of layers and application of new technologies allow us to successfully realize the strategy on the rise of hydrocarbons extraction even at the deposits the development of which has been held for almost 2 decades, CEO o Gazprom Neft –Noyabrskneftegas, P.
