In 2013, Chelyabinsk Zinc Plant increased zinc production by 4%

In 2013, Chelyabinsk Zinc Plant increased production by 4% to 166,357 tons of Special High Grade (SHG) zinc and its alloys. 66% of the metal was sold in the Russian market.

Nova Zinc made 34,870 tons of zinc concentrate, compared to 34,252 tons in 2012, and 4,810 tons of lead concentrate (+34%). Nova Zinc is the operator of the Akzhal deposit in Kazakhstan. It belongs to the same group of persons as Chelyabinsk Zinc Plant.

The subsidiary Brock Metal, the producer of zinc alloys under pressure sold 25,415 tons of zinc alloys, by 3% more than in 2012.
