Russneft buys two assets in the Orenburg region

Kommersant reports that the owner of Russneft and Neftisa, Mikhail Gutseriev has extended his portfolio of assets. He has bought the Orenburg companies Preobrazhenskneft and Oilgaztet, which own licenses for the development of fields with total reserves in the volume of almost 30 million tons of oil. The total amount of the deals is $200-220 million.

Mikhail Gutseriev has bought the two assets in the Orenburg region - Preobrazhenskneft and Oilgaztet, a market source reported to the Kommersant and an interlocutor, who is close to the businessman’s structures, confirmed the information. The companies declined to comment. A representative of the main shareholder of Preobrazhenskneft - the Kazakh investment group Verny Capital – specified that the transaction had been concluded and the fund Hanberg Finance Limited became the purchaser.
