Gazprom plans to invest 277.9 bln roubles into Southern Corridor

​In 2015 Gazprom plans to invest 277.9 bln roubles into the expansion of the Single system of gas supply to South Stream (Turkish Stream), the company reports.

The total assessment amounts to 714.6 bln roubles.

On December 1st Mr. Putin said that Russia is ready to construct another pipeline so as to cover the growing needs of the economy of Turkey and possibly found the additional gas hub in Turkey on the border with Greece for consumers from South Europe.

The same day he announced that Russian wouldn’t realize South Stream.

Southern Corridor is realized on the territory of 8 countries and has 2 routes – Western and Eastern. It will provide the Russian gas supply by the new gas pipeline via the Black Sea. The infrastructure which was previously planned to be used for South Stream might be used for Turkish Stream.
