The Novorossiysk port is indivisible.
"Transneft" and "Summa" suspended the division.
The main shareholders of Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port (NCSP) "Transneft" and "Summa" actually stopped complex negotiations on the division of assets. Sources of "the Kommersant" in the government, which had to approve the scheme, confirm that it is not on the agenda. According to "the Kommersant", one of the reasons was the lack of free funds at "Transneft" to purchase oil assets.
Yesterday, CEO NCSP Sultan Batov in a conference call stated that "the plan of a possible division of NCSP assets is not being considered, the group operates as a single company". NCSP refused further explanation. "Transneft" did not confirm the information on the suspension of the division of assets, calling Mr. Batov’s message "his own initiative". Ziyavudin Magomedov’s "Summa" have not responded on request of "the Kommersant".
