Evraz’s plants in the Urals renew production equipment

At the enterprises of Evraz located in the Urals carry out the capital repair works of the main equipment engaged in the technological process are held. The renewal of the capacities will them allow to modernize the quality of the goods produced and cut expenditure and increase the workover interval of the equipment.

At Evraz KGOK the capital repair of the indurating machine is over. The machine, at which the pellets are produced, was fully stopped for 20 days. Within that time the repair teams held the recovery works at the unit and accompanying production equipment. One of the main stages of works was the replacement of the kiln placing of the indurating machine. Evraz spent about 23 mln roubles for the capital repair. Currently another 3 such machines are in action at the pellets department of Evraz KGOK. Annually one of them is stopped for capital repair. It will allow to provide the accident-free operation of the equipment and stability of the production process of one of the main types of the plant’s finished goods.

At the converter shop of Evraz NTMK a series of capital and planned repair works is over. After the renewal the CC machine #4 has been put into operation which is one of the most modern ones in Russia and produces slabs of wide range of task geometry and chemicals contents. The bearer frames of the machine have been repaired, the technological axis of casting has been set, the primary cooling contour has been revised. A large volume of repair works has been held at the converter #2. Specialists replaced the unit’s fettle, recovered all the metal construction and gas cleaning equipment.
