In May Russia stayed leader in oil extraction, Bashneft - leader in the growth of oil extraction in Russia

​In May 2015 Russia stayed the leader in oil extraction having increased the extraction to 45.288 mln tons, the Central Dispatch Management of the Fuel and Energy sector says.

The average daily oil extraction in Russia in May reached 10.7 mln barrels. Saudi Arabia extracted 10.25 mln barrels a day in May, OPEC reports. This tendency has been on for a few months already: in March and April Russia also extracted about 10.7 mln barrels a day, Saudi Arabia – only 10.29 mln and 10.3 mln barrels a day.

The leader in oil extraction growth in Russia in May is Bashneft. The company extracted 1.606 mln tons, by 9.4% more than in May 2014. On the results of Jan-May the company increased extraction by 10% to 7.794 mln tons.
