Russia expects an offer on joining Eastring – Novak

​Russia expects an official offer from Europe on joining the project of construction of the East-European gas pipeline “Eastring” which will go via Slovakia, Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary, the Minister of Energy of Russia, A. Novak, said.

A reverse gas pipeline might be constructed in the EU gas transport system which will connect the Ukraine and Turkey. The project presupposes an opportunity of connection of the gas transport systems of Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria with further connection to the Russian-Turkish pipeline. Eustream announced of the plans of its realization. The future gas pipeline – Eastring – will start in the village Velke-Kapushany near the border of Slovakia-Ukraine and end on the border of Bulgaria-Turkey. Its annual capacity will be 20 bln cubic  m of gas.
