Gazprom significantly increased gas exports to the UK

​In January –May 2016 Gazprom significantly increased gas export to the UK by 91.5% to 3.85 bln cubic m against January –May 2015, the head of Gazprom, A. Miller, said.

In general in January –May 2016 gas supply to the far abroad countries grew by 16.2% or 10 bln cubic m to 71.53 bln cubic m. Besides the UK, many European countries show a good dynamics of consumption growth of the Russian gas. Poland increased the consumption by 35.6%, Germany – by 10.4%, France – by 35%, Austria – by 21.3%, Greece – by 85.8%, the Netherlands – by 103.8%, Denmark –by 139.3%. the UK is the leader by the growth of absolute rates.

In Q1 Gazprom increased gas supply to the UK by 240% against Q1 2015.

On May 11th Gazprom was reported to face difficulties with the realization of the investment program for 2016 as the export profitability had almost equaled with the supplies to the domestic market.
