Gazprom’s affiliate to construct a part of South Stream in Serbia

The affiliate of Gazprom – “Centrgas” OJSC – has won the tender for the construction of the Serbian site of the South Stream pipeline.

The decision has been made, it will be officially announced in a few days, when all technical formalities are settled, one of the participants of the tender said.

“Centrgas” is said to be included in the scheme of construction of the Bulgarian site of the gas pipeline. Another variant is the holding of a repeat tender in Bulgaria, one of the sources said.

In late May South Stream Bulgaria AD announced of the results of the tender for the working projection, equipment and materials supply, construction and assembly works, personnel training and the putting into operation of the route gas pipeline South Stream on the territory of Bulgaria. The winner was the consortium which comprised controlled by G. Timchenko “Stroytransgas” that was under US sanctions and Gasproekt Jug AD from Bulgaria.
