SUMZ has obtained energy liberty

SUMZ, the Sredneuralsk copper smelting complex of UGMK, has completed the construction of a mini-TEC with capacity of 21.5 MW. It’s the first completed object for own generation at UGMK’s enterprise. The total cost for the realization of the project is 1 billion rubles. The main aim for the construction of the TEC at the territory of SUMZ is for the provision of the reliability of power provision of the enterprise and a reduction in expenses into the purchase of energy resources and heat supply to the plant. The CEO of UGMK, A. Kozitsyn claims that the used scheme of realization of the project, the level of the installed equipment and the indices of efficiency and power production are optimal for solution of the task.
