Over the past six months, Gazprom’s production fell by 13%

In January – June, Gazprom decreased its gas production by 13% to 205 billion cubic meters, the agency Interfax reports, referring to the Central Dispatch Department of the Fuel and Energy Sector. In May, the production decreased by 18.8%, in June - by 16.3%. At the same time, in the first six months, the gas production by independent producers grew by 10.9% to 108.9 billion rubles. Rosneft increased its production by 16.3% to 30.8 billion cubic meters, Novatek - by 7.9% to 33.7 billion cubic meters, Gazpromneft - by 41.7% to 11.9 billion cubic meters.

In 2014, the production of Gazprom declined by 9% to 444 billion cubic meters, and the production capacity was 617 billion cubic meters. In view of the serious decline in the first half of the year, Gazprom won’t be able to fulfill the annual plan of 450 billion cubic meters, its production could fall to about 420 billion cubic meters, predicts analyst of Sberbank SIB, Valery Nesterov and portfolio manager of GL Financial Group, Sergei Vakhrameev. Originally Gazprom planned to produce 485 billion cubic meters in 2015, but then adjusted these plans several times. A representative of Gazprom declined to comment on if they will be adjusted again.
